Certain coloured sand products supplied by Lindport Pty Ltd t/as Kidsplay Crafts between September 2021 and 2025 are subject to a voluntary recall.
What has happened
Independent laboratory testing of the Coloured Sand products detected traces of naturally occurring chrysotile asbestos in some samples tested. Experts advise the safety risk associated with these products is negligible. We are working closely with regulators across Australia to determine the most appropriate next steps.
The latest advice from enHealth confirms the risk is very low.

What you should do
- Stop using any identified sand products immediately.
- Follow the advice that the ACCC has published about safe disposal and health information for consumers
- Contact Kidsplay Crafts to arrange a full refund.
